*** The History of F & R Body Shop ***
F & R Body Shop is a family operated business
established in 1978.
It began as a small, two
bay garage situated on a corner of the family farm.
Over the past 28 years and many additions later,
additions later, we are now a 46’x111’ multi-bay facility.
Frank began by doing collision repair, restorations
and custom painting. In 1988, we became
an East coast dealer for Art Morrison.
We offer services from oil changes to custom
building of race cars and just about
everything in between.
A Dynojet Chassis Dyno now is now only one of many
modern hi-tech systems on premises. Frank and his
son, Frank Jr. work the floor. Frank’s wife, Chris
runs the office, completes collision repair estimates
and handles all business with parts suppliers.
When not working, we can be found racing.
In 1984, Frank built a 1971 Chevy Vega drag car.
He continued racing the Vega through this past season.
This season, he will be racing his new ’05 Chevy Cavalier.
Frank Jr. races a ’96 Polaris snowmobile
down the asphalt in the 10.60’s, soon to
make his move to a door slammer.
Meanwhile,
daughter Laura races a pro-street
’68 Chevy Nova.
We race at Lebanon Valley
Dragway, in New Lebanon, NY, a member
track in the NHRA North East Div 1.
